You can help improve the quality of life for people who are dying ­ perhaps for friends or relatives of your own. Our primary need at this point in the project is to obtain enough financial resources to reach a much wider audience ­ educating many more citizens about the importance of living wills ­ and educating a wide range of health care providers about how they can provide more compassionate and effective care to their patients, based on their patients' own wishes.

You can be assured your contribution will be put to good use. By relying on the generous help of our volunteers, we have been able to limit the Foundation's overhead in 1997 to only 1%, thereby freeing almost all of the donations we receive to our educational purposes and helping many people who otherwise would find themselves in the hazardous position of not having a living will when it will be critical. Your support goes a long way toward tangibly improving the quality of life for so many people in need.

There are currently three ways you can help us to obtain the resources we need:

1. Donate by payroll deduction through the United Way of the National Capital Area. We are designated as Charitable Agency #8037.
   
2. Donate by payroll deduction through the Combined Federal Campaign of the National Capital Area. We are designated as Charitable Agency #8037.
   
3. Donate by currency, money order, or check made out to Life With Dignity Foundation.
